History
The small inner western Sydney suburb of Sydenham is located within the municipality of Marrickville. The suburbs of Tempe, Marrickville and St Peters surround it.

Famous Landmarks
On the western side of the bay is the Andrew “Boy” Charlton pool, a favoured summer swimming spot for inner city dwellers. On the bay is the recently renovated finger wharf with its apartments, hotel and restaurants.
