Why live in Chiswick?

History
Chiswick is a sleepy little suburb on the habour foreshores between Abbotsford, Drummoyne and the Parramatta River. Originally, it was part of “Five Dock Farm”, but later the area became known as Chiswick, after the London suburb.Its located 9 km west of the CBD and serviced by frequent bus services and ferries.

During Queen Victoria’s reign, many substantial homes were built and still remain today.

Real Estate & Design
Chiswick is ripe with as many fine Victorian houses and terraces remain and are either restored or lovingly cared for. In recent years, there has been some sympathetic development of apartments and townhouses.

Restaurants & Cafes
As with shopping, good food and coffee is only a short drive away in Drummoyne, Five Dock or a little further afield in Leichhardt.

Shopping
